Uma Ubud, Bali - What an enjoyable experience..

Had a fantastic experience staying at Uma Ubud in Bali.  What lovely smiling staff and a gorgeous hideout.  We stayed in the Garden room (for just one night, and moved to the terrace room for the rest of the nights), which was a bit unnerving as the bathroom opens up to nature. Waking up at 3am in the morning and perched on my throne.. looking out into the starry night and hearing the chirping of crickets...  To be honest, I wasn't sure how I felt.  I kept looking out to see if there might be someone sitting up on a tree staring in.. =P  Although each room is surrounded by its own garden and wall..

If you love to be one with nature, surrounded by such greenery, Bali is a great place to be.  Uma Ubud is definitely a must for your honeymoon as well.  Lots of privacy and tranquility..  and they also provide daily free yoga classes as well other active activities.  Wish we could have stayed longer...

Stairs leading into our very own hideout..

Pond filled with kois, swimming lazily around.  The little bridge leads to our bedroom (on the left) and the bathroom (to the right)

Bathroom..

Big airy space...   Imagine taking a bath in this big bathtub!

Things for us to borrow during our stay... Bag, yoga mat, bedroom slippers, bathrobes

Hellooooo!  Showers to the left and vanity area to the right..

Walking towards our bedroom

Good spot to sit and ponder about life!

Bedroom..  Love the roof..  When it rained, we could hear the pitter patter.. which I thought was quite soothing..

I love how they turn down bed every evening,  untying the curtains surrounding the bed, keeping the mosquitoes out...

Our own private garden...

My freshly painted toenails, surrounded by sooo much greenery...

Hello toes!

Look!  Colour of my toes!!

Tools of trade!

Bunga Raya (Hibiscus flower....)  So regal... It's actually Malaysia's national flower =D

Poolside.  I took this at 6.30am.  By noon-ish, this place is usually packed!

Faces the reception area at the far end..

The hotel's restaurant is over the other side, surrounded by water

Not sure what tree this is...

Right up there is where we did our yoga...

Hatched roof..

These fishes were everywhere around....

Spa/Massage area...  Rooms to the left..  One of the best massages I had!!

View from the Yoga Studio (OMG!!  It was breathtaking!)

Flowing river....

Yoga Studio with our teacher...

Discussing the meaning of life?

Open space, surrounded by nature..  It was so peaceful

Ahhh....

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...

On that note, I think I might head back for a lie down and dream about Bali...
