Monkeys.. so humanlike...

These were taken at the Monkey Forest in Ubud, Indonesia.  Monkeys are so human like.  They were extremely intelligent but could be really aggressive when provoked.  I couldn't resist them and had to dedicate a post all for them..

If you happen to be in Ubud, drop them a visit.  It's about 2,000 Rupiahs (Approx AU$2) for the entrance but as we only did the surrounding area, it was free.  Keep in mind that they are quite a bunch of rascals, and will do anything for food.  If you have food in bags, seriously, they can smell them and will 'rob' you without batting an eyelash.  You have been warned!

Bandit Monkey - stole some unsuspecting human's food and obviously enjoying every morsel of it!

Nom Nom Nom!

Lady,  this is a stick up!  Show me the food! "How cute!" laughed all the tourists crowding around

This is a HOLD UP!  Quit your laughing and show me your food!

A banana a day, keep the doctor away

Sunbaking in the sun.  Poor monkey has a bit of a skin disease..

All different shapes and sizes..

I think this little monkey is quite obese.  Wonder how he can even walk!

Enjoying his lunch in the quiet area..

I love this shot...

Just soaking up the heat..

Just like any human teenagers, we love hanging around at the mall.. I mean.. forest..

Picking up those nasty ticks.  Ahh.. If this ain't true love, I don't know what is!

Sliding down the tree I go.  Wheeeee....

Sprawled out anywhere I like.  This is afterall a free world!

At least this one knows how to protect its modesty..

Picking his toes, just like any human!

Chew Chew Chew

Taking a drink from the flowing water..

Mother and baby..

She's so protective of her young, ever alert for signs of danger..

While her young is all snuggled up and having its lunch..

"Mummy.. Look.. Look..."

"Where?  Nothing there!"

"No mummy..  Look at your back..."

Like I say..  Monkeys are sooooo human like... hehe

We are a curious bunch aren't we? =P

Dude!  Can you do this?!

Pfffth.. Easy!  Whatever you can do, I can do better!

Really?  How 'bout this?!

Needless to say, I don't think S rose to the challenge.  They were seriously sooo cute.  I would have love to smuggle one of them in my luggage and take them home!
