Autumn in Paris..

... it was so magical..  I was last here back in 2008, having just moved to London, I was all eager eye to explore, and Paris was my dream and first destination...

Definitely what I remembered..  Such magical city, such romantic language, such well dressed people, such beautiful pastries and sugary stuff that I kept indulging in, again and again.. and of course the occasional rude French waiter... ;)

I've had quite a fun time taking pictures with my SLR camera as well as my faithful companion, my faithful iPhone..

This is Paris as I've remembered...

Sunset at Jardin Des Tuileries... That's the iconic Eiffel Tower from the distance...
Our hotel, Hotel Paris Bastille..  Great location.. Thanks for booking us, miss A!! Our room was tiny... and 3 of us fit into it... cozy and just perfect hehe =)
Our landmark!!

Exploring our neighbourhood.. and walking to the vintage fair..
A church along the street..
Oui Oui?

The famous Champs-Élysées
I love all their buildings...
Laduree is soo pretty.. Pity the shop is going through renovation ;(

Strolling through the gardens...

The garden was filled with people, soaking up the sun...
The fountain in the middle..
Sailing boats for hire, anyone?
Pretty pretty colours...
Loving the carefree nature of children... *sigh*
Float little boats, float...

These kids sure were having fun, pushing their boats around the fountain...
Freeedom..... Float away!
The iconic eiffel tower...
Jardin Des Tuileries

So pretty.. =)
Louvre Museum..

Basilique du Sacre-Coeur
We got off at Anvers station to explore the area for my french laces and trimmings... and I bought some home!  So happy!!!  Now I'll need to see what I can do with them =x

I decided to explore on my last day here in Paris, and had fun walking for 40minutes east, instead of west.  How I hate my iPhone map!  It's really confusing =(  but I managed to take quite a few pictures which I was quite happy with =)

Coming out from one of the station...
Beautiful buildings...

I think the black and white turned out pretty nice...

Some church on the east side of Paris...

The buildings were starting to look seedier, the farther I walked..  To be honest, I was actually lost... if Miss A didn't SMS to ask me where I was.. I would have continued to walk .... Anyhow.. from here.. I managed to catch the train back to Madeleine...

Our last night here.. what better way to spend the night by visiting the Eiffel Tower? Here I was trying to find the proper setting on my camera.... I look drunk here ;)

Wheeeeee!!...

Eiffel Tower by night...
Quite a sight I can tell you..
Being under it is quite impressive..  I've been up there my last trip and I remembered the view was breathtaking!

Walking to the train station, hoping we haven't missed our last train home at midnight =)  The moon was eerily cloudly....
Looking back, the eiffel tower is still bathed in all its bright gloriness..
The two lovebirds walking in front of me...  Moonlight walk ;)
